Campus of International Languages is privileged with English language that has been a centre for attraction for Nepali students. Being the only institution of English language teaching, a large number of students offer English language courses every year with enthusiasm. Moreover, the department also conducts ELP (English Language Proficiency Test) and translation as well as other consulting services on language to different departments.
The course of English language is categorized into Basic and Advanced writing course which run for six months. Basic English course is beginner’s course which provides Basic English skills for the students in all the skill- reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students with SLC degree are eligible for the course . The writing course requires Bachelor’s degree for eligible candidates. The writing course is primarily focused on written skills of students in which students attain skills of writing paragraphs, essays, letters, reports and proposal.
The class hours for the course are roughly six months. A class of one hours and thirty minutes is assigned with semester system of evaluation. The prescribed texts are taught and assessment exam with twenty percent market is conducted before final exam, which carries eighty percentages of marks. The campus holds a distinct faculty of language teacher, educated in renowned universities with years of experience in language teaching Teacher’s training and workshops are frequently conducted to make teachers capable of diverse ideas of language skills.
